“Grandpa’s Camp” mural done in collaboration with the seventh graders at Powell Township School and the Big Bay Stewardship Council. It is hung at Huron Mountain Outfitters facing the school. I worked with the students and their art teacher to brainstorm how best to depict life in Big Bay. Many people there have log cabin camps or homes with a wood stove, so that was our starting point. After I designed the mural, the kids came to help me paint for a day. The community came together to hang the mural.
